Welcome to the City of New Fairview
The city website is designed and provided to make information easily accessable to the public. The city council and city administration want the public to know what is going on in the city. The city wants the city agendas, the city minutes, the ordinances, the city budget, the audits, the history, and much more available to the public through the website. This allows the public to access information from the comfort of their home. This helps to prevent information from being distorted, helps to keep the public from thinking the city is hiding information, and PROVIDES GOOD COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE PUBLIC AND THE CITY OFFICIALS. The city officials are continually improving and updating the website.

Location
The City of New Fairview is located in the quickly changing Northwest Portion of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex along U.S. Highway 287 and State Highway 407. New Fairview is surrounded by the towns of Rhome, Aurora, Boyd, Decatur, Justin, Fort Worth, and the Fort Worth ETJ. New Fairviews location provides residents and businesses with a country, small town atmosphere and easy access to many major destinations such as Alliance Airport, DFW Airport, Texas Motor Speedway, lakes, and numerous business centers. This part of Southeast Wise County is nearly all city due to city boundary expansions, extensions, especially Fort Worth's expansion.
Growth
New Fairview is striving to have organized, quality, growth, while dealing with the issues and challenges of this quick growing and fast changing area of the DFW Metroplex. The City Council and City Consultants are continually updating city ordinances and procedures to deal with the growth,conflicts, and changes. City Hall is continually updating our website to ensure that visitors,citizens, and bussinesses can find information and procedures concerning living and working in New Fairview.
Even though New Fairview is located in one of the fastest growing and changing areas in the Untied States, the approximately sixteen square miles that makes up New Fairview is primarily farm and ranch land with a few housing additions scattered throughout the farms. The farms and ranches in this area will be slow to change to housing additions. This means slower house growth for our city, but provides those that live in New Fairview that great country town atmosphere.
Lot Sizes
New Fairview has a one acre lot minumum for each house in housing addtions. This assures more of a country atmosphere and creates less congestion than a city with six houses per acre. By having the acre home site minimums the city doesn't have to have expensive sewage systems nor the expensive upkeep of sewage systems. Some homes use their own private water wells while other homes are part of business operated water systems.
Taxes
New Fairview does NOT have CITY PROPERTY TAXES. New Fairview operates from City Sales Tax. Therefore, New Fairview strongly encourages quality businesses to our city. Quality businesses provide sales taxes and jobs for our citizens.
